1850 Illuminator Coffee, Light Roast Ground Coffee, 12 oz

There's no question that a good cup of coffee can help start your day on the right foot but a good cup of coffee doesn't have to mean grinding your own beans or stopping into a coffee shop. Sometimes convenience trumps taste and this is a good mild flavored coffee that can be made quickly and with little effort at home. I knew I was in for a treat because the aroma of the Folgers 1850 Lantern Glow K-Cup was delicious. From the first sip to the last I noticed it had a nice mild authentic coffee flavor with a hint of nuttiness. This definitely tasted like something I could get in a coffee shop. I would definitely recommend to others.

I was given a box of 1850 Lantern Glow Light Roast Coffee K-Cup, I have made a number of cups and enjoyed it. The 1850 Lantern Glow says it is a light roast, but I would say it is more like a medium roast. I like a full body coffee, but not a fan of dark roast like Italian Roast or Black Satin. I drink my coffee black and no sugar, so I enjoy the coffee as is. I do stretch my pods to 14 oz cups, and this did not make the coffee weak or watery.

I do not have a coffee preference, as I like it all from Breakfast Blends to stronger types. The Folgers 1850 Light Roast K-Cup Pods is a cross between a light blend and a medium blend. It has a slight "smokey" flavor that is definitely not overpowering by any means, but has just enough bite to start - or end - your day. Can definitely recommend this blend to all.

I ordered this light roast coffee thinking it wouldn't be as strong. I can no longer drink coffee so I had my husband Try it out. The first time he made a cup he didn't really like it he said. It looks like any other coffee pod easy to use and just throw away Whe you are done making your cup of coffee. All though he said He didn't like it he is drinking. So I guess it was just a little different then The other brand of coffee he had been drinking. It must be good to him now because there is one in the trash every day. It smells good too. Yum coffee.

The flavor and aroma is wonderful, light. It doesn't leave that hard, dry taste in your mouth. I have an espresso maker and it works in that mode. I made an iced coffee with it and was pleased. I am a fan of dark rich flavored coffee. This product will not make you happy as a replacement for rich coffee lovers. I am presently using it in late afternoon, with creamer, a nice uplift to my day without making me fidgety.
