(2 pack) (2 Pack) Philips Avent Soothie Pacifier, 0-3 Months, Bear-Shaped - 2 Counts

Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this pacifier. I loved the simplicity of the circular shape and the opaque color options are wonderful. I liked that it is easy to clean with few nooks and crannies to worry about. My almost three-month-old did accept this pacifier with ease, but had trouble keeping it in his mouth longer than a few seconds. It felt a bit heavy, and the shape of the nipple is not what he is used to. He did enjoy chewing on it, but couldn't grasp sucking for long. I also tried this with my older child when she was a newborn with similar results. I recommend this to a newborn who has not already become dependent upon a specific type of pacifier.

My son LOVES these however the only reason I did not give a 5 star and only a 3 for design was because these are so hard to find when baby drops it in the dark or is left in the crib. Actually even with all the lights on I sometimes find it so hard to find laying around because the color is transparent so they kind of blend in with everything. I think we've lost 4 so far ;( other than the colors they are great.

I can't really give these pacifiers a bad rating just because they didn't work for us. Apparently my kids just don't like anything rubber in their mouth (including bottles). A friend swore by this brand, which is why I tried them. The ones I got are cute, shaped like a bear. It's all one piece, so easy to clean. The rubber nipple is pretty firm, which might be why my babies don't like it. The shape is identical to the pacifiers that are handed out at the hospital. I wish they would've worked for us. I got a chance to try these pacifiers as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel.

I received these pacifiers as a gift from the weeSpring Parent Panel. This pacifier is very cute and is similar to the Avent soothie pacifier given at the hospital. My baby has used the original Avent soothie for about 2 months and then has used Avent Nighttime glow in the dark soothie which has a different shape and he likes it more, still using it now. The Avent Soothie Bear shape pacifier is too big and falls out of his mouth very easily. He is in the teething stage (no teeth yet, but biting everything) so he actually likes to bite on the outside bear portion and use it as a teether. I would definitely recommend this just to try for a younger baby, to see the baby's preference. The pacifier portion is for a smaller mouth while the bear shape seems to be for a bigger face.
