Here's what I like about this product: the wide variety of options; the ease of changing iso; the range of the telephoto; the viewfinder; the silence of operation. There is a lag though between the time of clicking the button and the photo being taken. Dogs are turning away and cats are gone before the picture is taken. This is especially true with the "large" plus "raw" setting. I like to take wildlife photos and this is a frustration for me.

Canon has done it again with another fine product. This camera is perfect for those you want to shoot in RAW with all the settings of a DLSR. I find the image quality excellent for a point and shoot camera. I carry this with me when I'm lugging around my 500mm and don't want to carry another full size DSLR.

I have just purchased the G11. I "ONLY" bought the G11 due to me being an former owner of a G9. I had a problem with my G9 and it needed repairs as it would not turn on. My problem was that I had no idea where the warranty card was and the sales receipt was also missing. I tried hard to obtain it from the company that I bought it from as all of the companys stores had closed and it is now a total online thing. I explained this problem to the tech at Canon. He told me to send it in and it would be fixed free of charge. This is why I bought the G11 and a friend of mine bought a EOS Rebel T1I. Most companys would of told me I was out of luck but Canon did not. This is why Canon has a customer for life. I love my G11 it has so many advancements over the G9. Its worth every penny I paid for it and my next camera will again be a Canon camera.

I purchased this camera based upon reviews and friends. The first time I used it the zoom sticks and sometimes will not rspond. I have tried shutting it off thinking it would"reset" but to no avail. So I am disappointed. I must say it was over 100 degrees during use and I will try again when cooler. The few photos I shot are great but the sticking problem is not good..I hate to go through the return process etc..any sugestions???? From Texas

I have owned every G-series camera Canon has made. What can I say... it's a G series camera! It delivers on expected photo quality, value and performance. Regarding the features, however I'm kind of left scratching my head. RAW is good and I'm really, really happy to have the swivel LCD screen back. It's the best for shooting kids low to the ground and for shooting at weird angles. Very disappointed the G11 does not have tethered shooting / remote capture capabilities like ALL of its predecessors. I was also surprised it does not have HD video like almost all the other cameras Canon released this year.
