[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was into ally not going to use pacifiers but he wa given one during a medical procedure while in the hospital. It was the avent 0-3 and it made a huge difference. As he's grown we got the 3+ it's a little thicker and he's not real happy with it currently but I'm sure it will get better as he gets use to it. We have about 10 of the same in different places because it's really hard to find one when you need one. A different brand had one that glows in the dark...it was handy just a product improvement suggestion.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have been using the Avent Soothie brand pacifiers since we left the hospital. 9 months later we still love them. My daughter has tried other pacifiers but we always seem to come back to these. I love the one piece solid design. The material is thick and never cracks. These pacifiers are easy to clean with soap and water and the occasional steaming in a steamer bag. I like the different color options but tend to stick with the brighter colors so that they are easier to find in the middle of the night. We have loved these from the beginning and will continue to use them. I received this product to review via the weeSpring Parent panel.
During my pregnancy I swore I was not giving my son a pacifier, flash to day two in the hospital. The nurses took baby for some tests, and he came back with a Soothie in his mouth. We have looked back since. My little guy loved it, and as a breastfeeding Mama the unique shape is supposed to help support my journey and encourage a more correct kind of sucking that is similar to how he nurses. However upon some research on my end I realized the Avent Soothie the hospital gives you is for 0-3 months, my LO is 6 months now. So when weeSpring Parent Panel sent me the 3+ month Super Soothie to use and review I was through the roof. We sanitized it in one of the microwave steam bags. But our excitement was short lived, my little guy didn't take to it one bit. The larger size isn't what seemed to bother him, but the texture. The texture of the silicone in the Super Soothie is much tougher than that of the original Soothie. I understand the need to increase the size because of their growing mouth, but this pacifier is much harder that the 0-3 month version. We tried and tried, and my little guy really like chewing on it but did not enjoy sucking it one bit. He would just spit it out, or move it over to chew. I really love this design of the Super Soothie, a lot of other brands have hard plastic pacifiers that come with more than one piece, something little one can potentially take apart and possibly choke. I really wish my little guy liked it.
I was gifted the Soothie pacifier from Wee Spring Parent Panel and was so happy because it's the only pacifier my son will take. They gave him it at the hospital and while I have tried others like the super expensive brown one of the funny ones with mustaches or cute sayings, he only wants the Soothie. It must be the unique shape and softness which makes sense when you think about the shape of a nipple. It's also easy to clean. Any while I was gifted this one, I have bought tons and the price is right because let's face it, even with those fancy pacifier clips, if you aren't always losing or finding a pacifier, are you even a parent? ;)
My daughter has been using these since she was born. I went and bought more thinking the 3+ would be still soft but no they are super hard and she will not use it. There should be an in between. Now I'm stuck with pacifiers she won't use.
