KitchenAid - KHM7210OB 7-Speed Hand Mixer - Onyx Black

The controls are too fidgity. The cord is always in the way and hangs up on the edge of the bowl. Seems to wander all over the place when creaming shortening and sugar. The beaters are not interchangeable! One must be placed on the left and the other must go in the right. WHAT? This thing is going to end up in the trash. I've owned a few generic, cheap mixers that were far superior to this one. I really wanted and expected a really nice mixer. Maybe it's just me. Very disappointed.

The best hand mixer I have ever tried. Quite quiet but very efficient, even at low speeds. Don't be fooled by the slow speed, it works better than other mixers with higher speed. The first three speeds they are really low which is great to avoid splashing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this to replace my old hand mixer. Love the whipping beater that is part of this package. Only thing I like less than the old one is the on off switch. A bit harder to move switch with older hands. Would recommend this to my friends.

I was actually surprised at how lightweight it is; it's a pretty substantial mixer, but it isn't heavy. Fairly quiet, also (I had to retire my old Oster, from the 70s; that thing needed a muffler!). It feels solid (another brand I looked at seemed very flimsy). Another great design, KitchenAid!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this thing. It's absolutely beautiful, easy to clean, and is much quieter than the last hand mixer I had. I do find, however, that even with the 7 speeds, it just seems to lack power. More like it FEELS like it lacks power, as so far, it's been able to do everything I've needed it to, but, still I would have liked it to be a tad more powerful. Regardless, I love, and recommend!
