Filtrete Under Sink System Filter with Dedicated Faucet (Sediment, CTO, Cysts, Lead, Pharmaceuticals & Select VOCs)

I've had the under sink unit for about 2 years and (wisely) bought some extra filters 18 months ago. Now those extra filters have run out and I can't replace them: everyone is out of stock or they state that the filters are discontinued. I will be switching to another filter by another maker that is more reliable.

Don't buy this product. Well, you can't buy it. But if you can, don't, because you won't be able to buy another one. Can't find it ANYWHERE. What's the point of a water filtration system when you cannot replace the filters? So, I don't recommend buying anything else from 3M either, at least for products that have replacement cartridges, because you never know when they'll pull the rug out from under you and you'll be left with nothing.

We've been using the 3M 4US-MAXL-F01 under the sink water filtration system for a few years now. The results have been great and we have been more that satisfied with the quality of the drinking water. However, the product has been discontinued and 3M also quit making replacement filters as well. So we effectively have a paper weight at this point. We take pride in maintaining all of the items we purchase, and now we're forced to purchase another complete system, doubtful to be 3M out of fear they will stop servicing it as well.

I love having filtered water out of a faucet and not a bottle. We purchased one several years ago, but moved from that house. As we began remodeling the new house, we immediately purchased another one. We have had a problem with the handle being hard to turn, but Filtrete has jumped in immediately and has sent a return label , we purchased another one and they are going to reimburse us that cost. You can't beat that for service. I really love this Water system.

I seldom use this since I have filtered water on my fridge. so I wondered how will I know when its time to change the filter. In 6 months I've probably only used it a couple times so do I still need to change the filter or how do I know when I've sed 750 gallons?
