I purchased these fireplace guards to avoid the possibility of injury to my toddler grand-children. They were easy to install and are not an eyesore. I strongly recommend the product.

The online picture of this item is very misleading...what appears to be a seamless fireplace guard that will lie flush with the corners and edges of your fireplace is not the outcome the consumer receives. Instead you get to cut the guard to fit your fireplace (expected), but the pieces are so short, you end up piecemealing the whole thing together. The seams are very obvious and corners do not match the rest of the guard exactly. And then double sided tape is provided to hold the guard in place, which may work well with the tiled fireplace that is pictured....but try it on brick. Wish I had returned this item before my husband started cutting it up.
