This collar was designed for the back-up valve and this part is meant to connect to the feed hose while also being a protective cover for the internal mechanism. It is meant to open itself every 2 ½ to 3 minutes for about 30 seconds backing the cleaner out of any tight corners or trouble spots. This part is white and located approximately 18 inches from the head of the cleaner. It’s not uncommon for this part to deteriorate or break after an extended length of time or use but is very simple and easy to replace. It is threaded and meant to screw into the case or bottom housing of the valve.
