For starters tablet needs Firmware update which can be found on LePan website, note that need at least a 4GB micro sd card to perform this update, Can purchase for as low as $12.99: http://lepan.supportsync.com/articles/view/Latest_Firmware_for_LePan_TC_970_Tablet_Computer_11 After doing this update tablet worked like a gem. Tablet needs to be fully charged to perform update or needs at least 60% also after firmware update you must access the sd card to reinstall basic factory apps that are wiped out during update, to do this make sure to unplug tablet from computer as well as outlet because tablet will not recognize usb card contents, Really good device but has no usb port, works with wi-fi. It's like a android 2.2 phone on a way bigger screen. Fits in most ipad 1 and 2 geneartion cases. I went and purchased the Targus CityGear Mini for iPad, iPad 2, Kindle Fire and Tablets up to 10.2" (Black/Yellow). This hold my tablet nicely, bible, camera and cellphone comfortably and has a shoulder strap. Can be purchased at Walmart also, great buy. Most games and apps work offline. I currently have ninja slice and the angry birds, angry birds rio, bible software, abc games for kids etc. they are great. Little to no lag on Netflix and youtube. It is a fingerprint magnet but all other tablets are to, can be prevented using a screen protector. Don't use regular stylus must use special stylus for capacitive screen. There is wi-fi everywhere so I never have a problem connecting. I have a router at home as well that works well. First time connecting to home router may require you to turn off router and turn it back on but after that tablet stays connected. Great size tablet, great graphics and screen. Great buy for all ages, 5 year old loves to play on it.

I got this tablet just to mess around with. I did'nt want Ipad because they are 500 bucks and didn't want to spend that much for a tablet. I shopped around and came across this. I had never heard of Le Pan so I did some research on the company only to find out that they were new and only had 2 tablets out. But from the reviews that i read it was it a desent tablet. So I figured I would take the gamble with this. I ordered it Monday and had it working in my hands two days later! It was the BEST gamble ever. I haven't had any problems with it...in fact I am writing this review right on the tablet! I would recommend this tablet to anyone. The best 200 dollars I ever spent!

When I received my first tablet, it wouldn't turn on, despite charging it for 8+ hours. After reading so many positive reviews, I returned the first one and decided to give the Le Pan Tablet another shot. The second one worked straight out of the box. I connected it to my wifi and was checking facebook in less than 5 minutes. It's a good tablet, but it's not without its flaws. Twice in 3 days, the screen has frozen, and I have had to manually restart. Also, it shut down once in the midst of a google search. Overall, this is a good tablet for the money. It's not an iPad, but it is as close as you can get under $200.

I've had this tablet for a week now it was an early christmas present for myself. I love it!!! I havent used an ipad so I cant compare the two. But thanks to the reviews I decided to try it, im glad I did. It was easy to set up right out of the box. Was on the internet in less than 3 min. Pages load quick nothing lags, pinch to zoom works great. Sent a pic today from my cell using bluetooth worked great. Having the full android market is great apps galore!!! I bought my wife the kindle fire it is cool but cant do nowhere near as much as this tablet. I downloaded the kindle from the android market so dont need a kindle fire. Downloaded Pandora and the speakers work great. Downloaded Angry Birds and several other games and have no problems Why pay 300+ when you get almost all the same bells and whistles as an ipad and with my discount I got this tablet for 179.00. The only con is that the navigation buttons only light up when you touch them so cant see in the dark.

I BROUGHT THIS TAB FOR MY WIFE FOR CHRISTMAS. I OPENED THE BOX TO SET HER EMAIL ACCOUNT ON THE TAB AND TO PURCHASE SOME APPS THAT WERE ON SALE BEFORE CHRISTMAS. I WAS COMPELLED TO PURCHASE ONE FOR MYSELF. MY BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT IS THAT WHEN I RECEIEVED MY SECOND UNIT IT HAD A LATER EDITION FIRMWARE ON IT THAN HERS DID. NOW I HAVE TO UPDATE HER FIRMWARE AND REINSTALL ALL HER APPS. JUST MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE LATEST EDITION FIRMWARE ON THE UNIT. IF YOU DONT NO PROBLEM JUST GO TO WWW.LEPANTAB.COM WHICH IS THE OFFICIAL WEBSITE FOR LE PAN AND THEY WILL WALK YOU THROUGH THE VERY SIMPLE PROCESS. I ALSO PURCHASED 2 MEMORY CARDS FOR THE UNITS TO EXPAND THE MEMORY AND I WASNT SURE WHICH CLASS SD CARD WAS COMPATIBLE. I CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE TO ASK THEM AND WHILE THEY WERE UNAVAILABLE I LEFT A MESSAGE AND THEY CALLED ME BACK WITHIN 5 MINUTES AND WERE VERY FRIEND AND HELPFUL. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT TO KNOW YOU CAN GET SUPPORT WHEN YOU NEED IT. I HAD AN ARCHOS TAB AND TRYING TO GET AHOLD OF THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS LITERALLY LIKE TRYING TO HIT THE POWERBALL JACKPOT, BUT LE PAN IS ON POINT. UNLIKE MOST UNITS THIS UNIT HAS A BUILT IN GPS WHICH IS GREAT YOU CAN USE AS A NAVIGATION WITHOUT WIFI ON THE ROAD. A GARMIN OR TOM TOM NAVIGATION WILL RUN YOU ABOUT $100-$200 ALONE. MY BIGGEST GRIP IS THAT THERE IS NO USB CONNECTION AND THERE IS NO HDMI CONNECTION. I AM SURE THEY WILL BE ADDED THESE FUNCTIONS ON FUTURE MODELS, WHICH I AM SURE I WILL PURCHASE AS WELL. THIS TABLET IS JUST AS INCREDIBLE AS MY SAMSUMG GALAXY S2, ONLY WITH A 10 INCH SCREEN. I AM NOT SURE WHAT ALL THE HOOPLA IS ABOUT A $500-$800 IPAD IS. This unit is so much easier than an ipad or ipod because you dont have to go through itunes to add music, videos and photos. In a nut shell its a close to perfect without having a usb, hdmi and removable battery.
