I wanted an intependent remote button presser for old "dum" tech so I could use them from anywhere around the world and this with switch bot was small, easy to install, reasonably affortable and so far reliable answer for my needs. Not biggest fan that I needed to buy the hub separately to get everything work over the internet (outside bluetooth range), but I understand the battery life reasoning behind it. Lukily the hub fixed this problem and it was not too expensive. Only thing I would have wanted was power brick in the box for the hub but that was not that big of a deal. All on all I would definedly recomend this to everybody
Great product, works as described, it is definitely one of those items you don't know you needed till you get one. Super reasonable priced product to make dumb things smart! Used mine within a routine to turn my garage lights on/off during the evening when the door opens or closes. Love it.
Purchased a pair of these for our eyelet curtains with the addition of the mini hub. Once paired to the app and calibrated, they open and close the curtains on demand. We also paired with Alexa and set up a schedule which has not let us down yet. We had to use the grommet kit, to help with the spacing between the eyelets, which in turn helps the curtain slide over the pole effortlessly - these are clear and hardly stand out once clipped on. Would definitely recommend and give 5 stars !
This device gives me extra flexibility when controlling my curtains, thermometer and SwitchBot Bot. I don't have to be at home. I can see the temp in the home and the Air Con Off or on over the net. I can also open and close my curtains as well. So the SwitchBot Hub has proved to be a great addition.
Thanks to Betty and Ellen for assisting me in my concern and for hassle free replacement. Great support and love the products. Though there are glitches at some point which is acceptable for an electronic devices. I hope to see more smart devices from switch bot, e.g. smart robot vacuum similar to roomba, deebot, etc
