Excellent version of the no-longer-available Breath Right Advanced 26 count strips. Shocked to see any negative comments, let alone a majority. I never found these strips to be any more difficult to use than the less effective 'standard' varieties. There was a reason why Breath Right called these Advanced and it wasn't because they were inferior. Amazingly, these highly effective strips are difficult to locate (forget finding the Breath Right variety) and it is starting to appear that Walmart may also be dropping this product. Way more effective than ordinary strips with an impressive hold - however to access that level of hold requires some preparation. Hot water and soap are usually sufficient but for those extreme cases rubbing alcohol will ALWAYS do the trick. 'Wash' with rubbing alcohol and allow your nose to dry (or wipe with a dry towel) and then apply strip. Successful users know that proper application requires holding the strip in place a few seconds while the adhesive 'takes'. That's right, you have to hold the strip in place for 10 seconds or so to get good adhesion. Use care in removing it the next morning... might need to wet/soak strip a little to soften hold. Please Walmart, return these strips to online availability. Thanks.
These are obviously being manufactured by Clear Passage (the interior wrappings are identical) but are substantially improved over the CP strips I have. I commend WM for taking good second-tier products and improving them into excellent first-tier products. It looks like WM has been learning from Apple -- Apple buys many components from the same manufacturers that make commodity products for other manufacturers, (such as hard drive, SSDs, RAM) but Apple's higher standards mean that often the product for them is made on dedicated lines or in dedicated runs.
I have been using the Breathe Right brand strips (which were at least 2 yrs old) and they worked great. I was sure to clean my nose carefully to remove all dirt and oils before applying the strip. I chose to try the Wal-Mart brand EQUATE strips. On the two nights I have used them, I found that the adhesive on these "Large Tan, EXTRA STRENGTH" strips has let go of the skin during the night, so that the ends are stuck out like little mini-wings on my nose. Totally USELESS!! Why is it that WalMark does not pay any attention to the huge number of negative feedbacks about this product and take it off the market until they can improve the adhesive to make it work???!!
I've bought these at my local Walmart. They have performed jus t as good the the brand name ones at half the price. Wash and dry your nose before applying and they stay all night. On my fifth box now and will be buying them again.
I purchased these because the local Walmart was out of Breath Right. I will find Breath Right somewhere else these are a poor substitute for the real thing. the adhesive does not hold and they do a poor job of keeping nasal passages open.
