These shades are affordable but not very well made. The cords that hold the shade have a plastic piece at the top that keeps popping out so you have to get the ladder to try and put it back in so you can roll them back up. Then when the plastic piece slides through the bracket you end up tying it to the hook holding the whole shade. Just seems like a lot of money for cheap hardware. That being said they do help keep the heat out and that was why I bought them.

They look great, are priced right and are weather resistent. They do tend to fade with sunlight over time but as long as you buy and place them all at once they fade together so you really can't tell. I love them. They look wonderful on my screened in deck.

I ordered these shades for an upstairs screened in porch that receives the morning sun. Didn't want to pay for custom shades, but wanted something that could be used outside without damage. These did the trick. Price was right, size was close enough & now I can sit on the porch in the am & enjoy my coffee. Like most things these days, these are not the same quality as ones I owned 20 yrs ago. The hardware isn't as sturdy as I would like, the headrail is a little flexy & there wasn't a great choice of sizes available. That being said, they do the job & didn't cost a fortune. I'm happy!

Overall good for the price but... I am a little surprised that it is advertised as being suitable for outdoor use. The string that holds the individual slats in place with one another is nothing special. I am not sure how long it will last outside in the elements. We will see. The PVC slats themselves damage somewhat easily. If you simply press your fingernail on them then you can leave a "stress mark" in the plastic. I am glad that I am using it outside as I can imagine that the blinds may start to show wear easily up close (if they are around kids).

I use this shade in my Home Office where I work 8 hours a day. I have a mini blind on the inside, and this shade covering the blinds. It reduces the light by about 75% and looks just super. It appears well made, operates smoothly and flawlessly and adds a nice touch as well. For the money.....I love it!
