Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 Max Performance Tire 315/30ZR18 (98Y)

I upgraded to a 19" RS5 wheel and decided to go back to the rubber that came with the car when I bought it, as a dedicated summer tire. The PS2's are the best performace tires I have had the pleasure of rolling on. We do a ton of road trips with Audi Club WC and I am thoroughly impressed how reliable the PS2's are even under the toughest of conditions. Easy buying decision that was based on the overwhelming survey results of other Audi Club members.

These tires are installed as OE on my 2011 Porsche Turbo S Coupe (N-Spec tires). They are obviously much better than any other Porsche OE tire I have experienced-they stick like glue (and of course also pick up all sand, dirt, debris, etc. from the road surface-to be expected with such a sticky tire). I don't think the tires share the responsibility for the harder ride-it's probably due to the 911's short wheelbase and on smooth pavement the tires are essentially silent and the ride much improved. I expect the treadwear will dependent upon how spirited a manner in which the car is driven. I've bought a set of PS-2s for my BMW to see if they're better than the Pilot Sports previously used.

I bought these tires to replace the OEM's on my 2002 Z06. With the OEM's, I was not able to drive faster than 45mph, without hydroplaning, on the interstate, during a rainstorm. After switching to the Pilot Sport PS2's, I was able to drive 70mph, in the same situation, without any hydroplaning. I was completely amazed and will buy them, again, when the current tires need replaced.

This tire is made for all people that need to have full control of their vehicle. Especially when u are going to hi speeds. Also when its time to stop they will respond immediately. Definetely recommend this tire for anyone that are into motorsports or simply have a sports car.

tires are the single most important factor BEYOND factory equipment to affect the overall performance of a vehicle. I chose these for a combination of handling, breaking, and comfort, realizing that the composite would increase wear factor. A good tradeoff.
