Freshness Guaranteed Fruit Cake, 28 oz

Has potential but falls short. It is dry and crumbly and not in a dense, thick, fruitcake way. However the fruit does go throughout. The flavor is pretty decent. It's more like cake. With some candied fruit in it. It's all I could find here in the midwest so it'll have to do. I would recommend it if you cannot find anything else.

Over all price verses quality and amount. It is not bad, little dry, could use more fillings, vut comes to life if you poor rum over it or your favorite spirit. A simple sugar would be ok for a second choice. I love fruit cake, so it was a ok product.

Bought the- freshness guaranteed-ring fruit cake today. Looked so good ..couldn't wait to get home and try a piece..WOW.. you talk about disappointment..It was drier than a popcorn f--t. If you get snookered and buy one of these you better buy a gallon of milk to wash it down! I have had many fruit cakes over my life and I would have to rate this as right up there with the worst.. it looks pretty sitting there on the shelf, but don't be deceived. It's sticky and crumbly I actually even had a hard time cutting it. Don't waste your money. It's too bad someone went to all that trouble to make a nice looking fruit cake and it turned out so bad! 0 stars

My Cousin buys me a fruit cake each year from a bakery in Texas that is supposed to be the best at price of about $45.00, well I ran across this in my local store and think it is the best think going for the price. When I gave him a slice he couldn't tell the difference.

Love this cake. Had a huge hassle finding this cake on the aisle at store though and even after asking 5 different people working at the store, no one had a clue where it was. It was frustrating but I'm glad I didn't give up. I finally asked the lady at the check out counter and she called someone to help. Interestingly it was found ‘from the back' as she couldn't find it on the aisle either. Walmart needs to TRAIN people before they hire. The cake though was superb. Loved every bit of it. Packed with fruits and the taste was AMAZING.
