Toddleroo by North States Easy Swing and Lock Baby Gate, 28.68''-47.85" Wide, Matte Bronze

I bought 3 different gates at the same time. 1 was very attractive, but had a piece on the bottom for support that I tripped on, the other very plain but again piece on bottom for support I tripped on. This one does not have that swings open nicely and I am going to buy 2 more! I will sell the other 2 to make up for loss.

This gate works perfect for the top of the stairs. It was simple to install, just tape up the template and pre-drill holes for screws and adjust the gate to close and latch. I had a cheaper plastic gate up that no one could figure out how to unlatch so they just didn't latch it so it might as well not been there. I think mosly they go lazy, everyone latched it for the first two years it was up. New gate is easy to unlatch and to latch you just swing it shut, if it is adjusted correctly.

This gate seems to be sturdy and is pleasing to the eye. It was actually too tall for where I was putting it, I had to hook it up to my existing iron railing , but I was able to rig it to work. It's kind of a pain to close since there is a top and bottom latch , but it's easy to open.

I have two gates the first one is better but has a small opening. This is gate is good bc the whole gate wings open allowing everyone to easily pass through. Many times you have to wiggle it to shut the right way bc it doesn't close correctly. Other than that it does the job, keeps my 8 month old twins safe from the stairs

I really like this gate, the only thing I don't like I the bolt on the latch comes loose easily, so you have to keep an eye on it & tighten it back, bc if it isn't tight the gate can be lifted free... now that I check it everytime I open it, it's habit, but overall I am very satisfied! It isn't bulky & it looks nice! Very sturdy too! Believe me my 9 month old tests it often!
