Ot Men's Putty W/p Hiker

This is my second pair of hiking boots from Wal-Mart and they fit just fine. I got a year from the first pair walking 40 minutes 5 times a week over a rocky and sometimes muddy path. The boot upper held up fine but the sole slit completley in two on one shoe and was cracked on the other. Still for the year they were a good hiking boot.

I originally went to Walmart for the Ozark Trail Peyton Boots because they're cheap ($25). They didn't have my size so I was looking around for another pair of boots to get, as it's winter and I was going away for the weekend in the mountains. I settled on the Putty II based on seeing them in person at the store. I like the fact that they have deep treads on the bottom for stability (deeper than the Peyton) and they look nicer, in my opinion. I wore them on a winter hike in the Catskills and they were great. My feet stayed warm and dry, even being in snow up to my knees at some points. These boots are waterproof and have an anti-microbial aspect to them, although I haven't been able to test that out yet (I've worn them for that 1 hike). Looking forward to wearing them on future hikes or just digging out my car when it snows. Great value too, only $30.

So far seems to be a good pair of boots. I'm an instructor for law enforcement personnel and I wanted something light and confortable that could take the beating of climbing, jumping and constant movement, plus look good with my attire. It appears that this boot meets all the above. Great styling, very comfortable and the price is excellent. Plus shopping wal-mart online was extremely convenient.

These are the third pair I have owned. All purchased from Walmart. They are comfortable from day one until they are worn out. They are dependable with the rugged soles. I have never slipped or fallen. My feet are not tired at the end of the day. I work on my feet each day of the week. In the past I have purchsed expensive shoes to work in but they could never meet the quality and dependability I receive from these.

I have used these boots from the first when Walmart started selling them For the price you can not beat them. I hike and camp in some hard areas of Az both south and north in the mountains and woods, these boots have held up really well. I am on my third pair now. I go as far as always having two other pairs in reserve. I also bought them for my daughter who hikes with me every-now-and-then. Plus now that my youngest son who is nine has size seven feet he will have a pair for our up coming fishing/hiking trip up in the Rim country. A great boot with a great price.
