[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The horses go crazy for these flax snacks! When you open the bag, they smell so good! I love to know that even though these are treats, they consist of high quality ingredients and I can feel good about giving them one each day. Great product; horse approved!

My horse LOVES these treats, and I love their cinnamon smell. They are pretty hard, so I would not give them to a senior horse or one with chewing problems. But for the general equine, they are great and I like knowing there's a little extra health component (flax seed) in them compared to the average treat.  Price wise... I'd like it if they were a bit less costly, but they are not as expensive as many of the other options on the shelf next to them.

Both of my horses are spoiled rotten, so I always love trying out new treats. I loved that this had a actual nutrition bonus in it. But they smell absoluetly HORRIBLE. And they are rock hard. One of my horses is a senior, so I always try and break one apart before giving him a new treat, to make sure he won't choke on it and can chew it. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't break it with my hands. I tried soaking them in water overnight to see if they would soften - they didn't. My other horses eats anything and everything you put in front of him, and even he didn't want them. After a little coaxing, he took one, spit it right back out, and refused to go near another one. Will not be buying anymore, and very disappointed!

My horse absolutely gobbles these cookies right up!!! He nickers for them as soon as the bag comes out of the tack room. I love that it has the Omega 3's in it and they smell fantastic. The bag seems to last awhile (I feed about 5 cookies on average per day- recommended dosage with the omega 3) which makes me, and my horse, thrilled. The only disclaimer is a few other horses in my barn spat them out and wouldn't even try a second one. It doesn't seem to be a treat every horse will enjoy. However, I believe they are worth the money if your horse does like them. They have became one of my horse's favorite treats and I couldn't buy anything else for him right now!

I used to be thrilled with FlaxSnax! They smelled delicious, were nutritious, and my horse loved them. The last bag I purchased had darker "cookies." They looked oily, flatter than before, and overcooked. They did not smell good. My horse refused to eat any:-( I am disappointed and will not buy any more FlaxSnax unless the manufacturer returns to its original formula.
