Arm & Hammer Clumping Litter Double Duty

I had used the AH Double Duty clumping litter a few years ago. I started using something else which wasn't as effective. One day the litter I switched to was not in stock. I remembered using AH litter and now I will never go back to my other litter This review is incentivised for points for the Kitty Krew program.

I never review cat litter brands , But this box of litter was really something. I emphasize it was something. The odor coming off of the litter reminded me of urinal cakes , literally my whole house smelled like that . The litter also wouldn't clump it was more like non scoopable. Please save your money and don't buy this litter.

I really like that this is a non-clay litter and leaves kess litter on the mat. However, the litter does not offer good protection from urine smells I clean the box 1-2 times a day and have even used the Arm and Hammer baking soda by mixing it into the litter. Still the smell persists. Please work on a better formulation for odor control.

Have been using Arm and Hammer Double Duty for many years for our multi cat home in 3 of 5 litter boxes 4 of the cats prefer the Double Duty boxes , 1 prefers traditional clay. I prefer Double Duty as it clumps quite well, has a pleasant scent that the cats do not find offensive.

I really love this litter but after a while. You can smell the cat pee while cleaning the litter box. I add more but the pee gets stronger and stronger. But over all I give it a 3 cause it does clump and some what seal. Not ever litter is perfect but I wish this one was. The pee doesn't stick to the bottom of the litter box
