Jelly Belly JB15315 Electric Ice Shaver, Red

This is a great little ice crusher/ shaver! You do not have to freeze your water., as one review stated.. Simply use ice cubes from the freezer. My 11-year old grandson operated this with no trouble at all. I use it all the time now! I love it. Thinking about giving one as a Christmas gift!

It is easy to use. Fast set up. My 9 year old can use it without my supervision.

This ice shaver did not work at all. We put the ice in like directed but the motor froze up. And we weren't able to use it. We returned it to Walmart and they were very nice in taking it back. It was ordered online WE would not recommend this product to anyone.

If I could give this product 0 stars I totally would but since "1 star" is the lowest I could give, consider my "1 star" really a "0 star" rating. Wanted a snow cone maker and Walmart had very little available that were in stock. I was leery about getting this one and after getting this machine my senses were right. It's an absolute hunk of junk. First of all, it comes with 2 cups to freeze the ice to go in it and one 1/2 cups instantly cracked/broke after one use and when you go to put the ice disk made by my solo ice cup half the time this machine doesn't shave it. It just spins around and around and the ice doesn't catch on the blade so you have to keep flipping the ice disk over and over again until it actually catches on the blade. Secondly, you have to press down super hard to get it to shave any decent amount of ice. I've had a couple of personal ice shaving machines in the past that were electric and didn't require any kind of manual help from a person and they shaved ice 10x faster than this piece of garbage. To add insult to injury, you bust a sweat just getting a tiny amount of ice shaven or making just one ice disc's (small) worth of shaven ice. Third, the plastic barrier that sits on top of the machine and that holds the ice in when it is being shaven gets stuck and pulled off by the very top part (that encases the motor) that is used to push down on. It's a chore just to pull that out 1/2 the time. And finally, while shaving the ice the motor makes horrible awful noises like it is straining or going to break at any moment and it's just awful. This is NOT a good pick for anyone, let alone anxious little children who want a snow cone. It's way too much work and stress for something you get so little of and takes way too long.
