Next season when I buy some more, I'll size up to a large as my medium ran quite small compared to what I was used to. It was not uncomfortable to wear, but I've got no allowance for weight fluctuation. The shirt keeps me warm and I can't believe I went so long without. They saved me on some single digit days and nights when my heat went out as well as camping and hiking trips in a blizzard. Even on warmer cold days, they keep me a comfortable temp, not too warm.
I had read comments that these were not true to size...ran small, so instead of L, I ordered my husband XL. Although it fits him just fine and he's happy with it, I will need to remember to always check the tag on this top. It has to be washed in cold water while I'm accustomed to washing most of his 'underwear' , especially bottoms, in warm or hot water. I suspect this top will definitely shrink if washed in water that's too warm. Otherwise, my husband likes it. He's the one that wears it, so, I just have to do my part by not causing it to shrink!
Not a fan of these. They run too small, they bind in awkward places, and they basically were a waste of money because I will have to purchase another set of thermals to replace them. I'm using these as a base layer for my ECWCS. Pretty much the only upside is that they do functionally wick moisture away from the skin adequately, however, the material is so thin that these are basically silk weight and won't have much capacity in that regard. They run so small they'll either be baggy or too tight. Neither of those options is acceptable. I regret purchasing these.
I work in an auto repair shop and have to spend a lot of time on the shop floor. The place is not heated and they have to leave the doors open most of the time so it gets pretty cool during the winter months (mid 30s sometimes [I live in Phoenix]). Wearing this thermal crew top (along with the bottoms) keeps me warm enough to do my work. I would recommend it.
Ordered for my husband and his comments on them.Shirts are under sized and the pants over over sized from what they are suppose to be, The shirt sleeves are way to short. One inside sleeve feels like sand paper while the other is not as bad. The material is very thin. Not really worth the cost but works if you have no other choice.
