Hello Hobby Anemone Pop-up Card Kit, 46 Pieces

Looked pretty on the packaging. Not simple enough for a preteen or myself to configure. Many pieces and components to configure. We are usually crafty people - this was not fun. Wouldn't buy again.

Directions could have been more thorough, or perhaps it's just a flawed design. All 4 cards wasted after a lot of fiddly work. Even my craft-loving daughter hated this kit.

It a kit and there are many working pieces. It was a joy to work with.

you would need to be the inventor to figure it out! theres even a video of a crafter failing the task! DONT BUY THIS!!!!!

I loved the idea of this kit! Making a pop-up card for loved ones. I had never made one, and the directions... well, to me, were vague at best. I did see a comment to look up a How to video on YouTube, and am I ever glad I did! The video helped to clarify things a lot! It was on making a 3D pop-up flower card. Looking the instructions over again, I had a better idea of what to do, but I did watch the video several times. That said... Sticking the little tabs on the individual flowers was a big challenge for me (I do have vision and fine motor skill challenges), but I kept at it. It is also tricky to put all of the completed flowers together, being asymmetrical, tho not impossible. I did use some double sided sticky tape for that, as it was easier to clip and stick. Once I got the flowers on the card and stuck down, I let it rest under a book for a while. The card will not rest open, of course, and opens pretty much like an L, and is a bit tight. For me, I'm like "Hey, I did it!" Loved the fact there are extra doo-dads you can add to the card. Love the cards. Love the flowers. Just try watching a video as I mentioned. The kit just needs better instructions - although that would be a challenge! Thats my reason for 4 stars. I added a couple die-cut butterflies to my card too. All things considered, I think I did it pretty well, and my card looks neat. I can make 3 more according to the package. I'll try to add 2 pictures of the card I made.
