Hello Hobby Stencil Set, 7" x 10", 3 Piece, Birds

This 3-piece set of stencils consists of a variety of bird related items including birds on branches and a bird bath, among other really cute patterns. The stencils are made of a thin plastic and require a very small paint brush or marker to fill the stencil. My granddaughter wanted to give these a try on a breadbox, and we found that the paint markers we used were much larger than the stencils and the paint got up under the edges very easily. I was told by a friend to use a spray adhesive to hold the stencil in place and I will be trying that in the future. I think these are very cute and can be used on many different items.

I lost a lot of my stencils some time ago. Slowly rebuilding my stock. I love these sweet little birds! And the quality is excellent. I can not wait to use them. Plaid products have always served me well and I am sure these will give me many years of use. It's nice to have the kind of stencils where you can decide on your own design as well.

The bird design on this was cuter than I expected. Fully expect to use for an Easter table decor project. The stencils are a good size, little smaller than the size of my palm, so small enough for little projects but big enough to see the design from a distance. Thin plastic but not as thin as others I've seen. This is a good brand, in my experience. The stencils are slightly flexible.

There are 17 designs in this 3 piece stencil set that include birds, flowers and other designs like a bird cage and a bird bath and each one is so adorable and prefect for Spring projects. The stencils are very detailed and just like the other Hello Hobby stencil sets, you get great project ideas on the back with paint color recommendations and the best tools to use to make your project perfect. The stencils are reusable and easy to clean.

These stencils are cute and I love birds, so I wanted to give them a try. Unfortunately, the plastic is thin and it bows if one uses only tape. Therefore, I strongly suggest using an adhesive spray. The other negative is that many of the cuts are not clean. It looks like they were cut with a dull blade. These might be nice for a child learning to do stenciling or alternatively, if one is highly experienced, uses adhesive, has the "right" paint (thick, not craft acrylics in the bottles), and so on. I will try to use these again, but I would not purchase them in the future.
