Open Box Brother Sewing and Quilting Machine, CS6000i, 60 Built-in Stitches - WHITE/BLUE

I just love my CS6000i machines. I have four in my sewing school. However, there are only used or resale machines to purchase these days, which are priced at twice the previous price or higher. I'm wondering if Brother can give an update on new production of machines with an approximate date for when they'll be available? I'd like to purchase another one, but I don't want to at these inflated prices. Thank you.

I had this less than six months when it would take a few stitches and then make a terrible noise, the needle bar would slowly move and shake, then an E6 error would be given. Machine booklet states no oiling needed but the shaft bearing was sticking. A YouTube video by a sewing machine repairman explained the error. He cleaned around the bearing removing black gunk then squirted oil on both sides. There was no way to reoil without totally taking this machine apart. Many people had this same problem. You can redo the oil by taking out screws but this machine cost less than a repair shop visit would so I'm doing it myself. Bad workmanship. Pay more and get a better quality machine.

I am so elated that this machines quilts & sews. It's super light weight & does an excellent jobs on fabric. The 60 stitches options are over the top. My mom loves it so I purchased one for her last week. Ladies in my sewing class asked me which sewing machine should they buy, now two ladies have the same machine. I researched for a long time before purchasing my first sewing machine. This is the machine that won. I absolutely love my CS-6000i. Now that I am sewing, I've joined quite a few sewing groups and have seen this machine as one of the top recommended machines out there. Everyone has been happy with it. It has done everything I've asked it to do with no hesitation, going through up to 6 layers of flannel and 8 layers of fleece with no issues whatsoever. It comes with extra feet, including a walking foot, and stitches beautifully. I highly recommend this machine whenever anyone asks for advice. Thank you for creating such a wonderful machine! I'm really enjoying my new hobby and it is mostly due to the ease and functions of this machine.

I bought this machine to replace a Kenmore thatI had for almost 25 years. Needless to say my old machine did not have too many built-in features! I am very pleased with the ease of threading the bobbin and the needle on this machine. The button to automatically raise the needle is fantastic! The only reason that I am not giving this a five star review is that I wish the removable portion of the machine to make it a free alarm was a little simpler. Overall a very nice sewing machine for every day use.
