I use the nut free Eczema Honey, and it is an answer to prayer. I don't have eczema, per se; but I have some miserable itching under my breasts and within the fold of a cesarean scar. Especially during the heat of our Texas weather, these areas can become more miserable than I can explain. I found Eczema Honey through an ad on Instagram, and I'm so grateful! It only takes a small amount in each area where there is a problem, and I am very comfortable all day long. If I'm going to be outside a lot (on the beach or on a hike), I keep my jar of Eczema Honey in a small bag with ice in my back pack or beach bag. Where I go, it goes.
My 2yo daughter has severe eczema. We have tried everything in order to try and avoid a regular steroid regimen, including regular bleach baths, wet PJs, every cream on the market (steroid and non, OTC and prescription). I had really high hopes, as I heard great things, but it didn't do anything for my daughter's skin except leave it sticky. One positive is that I think it brought some comfort, being frozen, and feeling cooling to her scratchy skin. When you have such a scratchy kid, it can feel very helpless at times, so I will take any small win. The company did give me a nut-free version to try when I expressed dissatisfaction, even though I wasn't sure why that would make a difference (it didn't). I also asked for additional tips and all I was given was a copy of the text on the website. Overall, I was satisfied with the customer service. However, the product didn't work for us.
The consistency of this product didn't appear as in the ads -- it wasn't really creamy; more like oily and separated. It felt soothing on my eyelids and very moisturizing -- but eczema must be healed via the immune system, rather than products used topically. Nevertheless, I enjoy this product especially as a lip balm.
I have chronic skin sensitivity and cannot tolerate much on my skin. I thought I would give the eczema honey a try. I like the simple ingredients, but for me it did not help my skin. It irritated it and I had to stop using it after one week. I am sure it is a great, natural product for most, but unfortunately it did not help my advanced condition.
Our daughter has recently developed eczema after receiving her shots for school. We have been struggling with it and her for about a year now, and your product has certainly made a difference during this hot weather. I am excited to continue application in hopes to bring her more relief. In the meantime, we continue to our pursuit of figuring out the cause, so we can begin to work on repairing the problem and not the symptom. Thanks for making a great product and bringing some relief to our suffering daughter!
