Rubber-Cal’s General Purpose Rubber is a durable and cost-effective rubber sheeting that can be used for a wide range of potential applications. These thin rubber sheets are made from a tough and reliable synthetic rubber material called styrene butadiene rubber. Each synthetic rubber product goes through a chemical heating process called vulcanization, increasing its durability and giving the solid elastomer a smooth finish. This SBR rubber has a durometer of 70A, which means the material has a hard surface with minimal flexibility. The hard sheet rubber has excellent resistance to abrasions, making it perfect for heavy-duty applications whether they are industrial, commercial, or even residential. SBR material, unlike other synthetic rubber types, is designed to withstand the harsh conditions of the outdoors. This rubber material has superior resistance to abrasions, moisture, UV rays, and most damaging weather effects. With a working temperature range from -10° F to 190° F, this hard rubber sheeting maintains excellent performance, even in extreme heat. This makes the sheets of rubber ideal for industrial applications, as the synthetic elastomers can handle the intense friction of heavy machinery without showing wear for a long time.
