Does what it's supposed to do. Doesn't provide immediate relief and of course, you just need to take it on schedule. I have a lot of pharmacology knowledge so knowing that helps. I use this in combination with other things depending on what my symptoms are. Usually not a cure all to whatever your symptoms are.

Mucinex 12 hours chest congestion and expectorant worked for me. I noticed slight relief after 30 minutes of taking the pill. My congestion went away and the effect lasted for about 11 hours. I will definetly use this product again.

I like that I don't have to constantly take pills all day and it works well with reducing my symptoms so I can function during the day. Works quickly and lasts long. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had to wait a good 6 hrs or so before I felt the mucinex12 hr expectorant working, Ir wasn't a very great pull to swallow, but as far as it relieving my symptoms of yuk, mucinex12 did its job. I would definatly recommend this product as well as purchase it myself in the future. No matter it expensive cost.

The tablet has two layers: one for immediate relief and one for extended relief. These help tremendously. I don't know if I'd say it lasted for 12 hours, but at least 10. Regardless, they helped and I would definitely recommend.
