e.l.f. Clay Eyeshadow Palette, 81924 Smoked to Perfection, 0.26 Oz.

Saturday sunsets I wish I'd paid more attention to the reviews. This is the worst eyeshadow palette I've ever tried by elf. There's no pigment, it's patchy, I couldn't get the color on my lids and I couldn't get it to stay on no matter what I did- tried with primer & with a wet brush & I felt like I was fighting with it. It's my 1st review of something so bad that I wouldn't even give it away. I'm disappointed because elf is my favorite brand & I pretty much use it exclusively. *PLEASE* fix the formula - the colors are so pretty!

I got this a few weeks ago, I was so excited! But then when I got home I swatched it, and I was SO SO disappointed. It is very dry and chalky, the highlight shade is horrible and they aren't that pigmented at all. I love ELF cosmetics but this was a big disappointment.

I am pretty pale, so I'm not sure if that's why the pigments for SURE show up on my lids very vibrantly or if the formula has changed since other reviews. But, these colors are gorgeous! I have very, very oily skin including my eyelids and have never been able to wear eyeshadows. It dissolves from my oil usually and creases after only a few hours. I've tried primers, powders, you name it. This clay based eyeshadow is the only thing that's ever lasted all day. I love playing with makeup so this has given me a lot of joy! It is worth the money to me since it's the only eyeshadow that has ever lasted on my lids and the colors are really rich.

I tried several of these palettes. What I love? The packaging is great and compact enough to carry with. What I dislike is the wild variation in quality of the shadows. Some are smooth and well pigmented, some are just...not. In the end, I depotted all three for stashing, and have designs on using the compact for my own custom purposes. Nice tight concept for portability, but the formulation is sadly erratic.

I received this as a free gift and it is my daily go to. It it has beautiful color payoff and is such a flattering nude combo of mattes and shimmer. The clay formula is so creamy. For extra pop I wet my color packing brush with my Mist and Set spray and apply the gold shimmer to the center of my eyelid. I get compliments every time. What an amazing product!
