e.l.f. Little Black Book Color Eye Set, 48 count, 1.1 oz

I received this as a gift a couple months ago, and i just love it! I am fairly new to makeup, but i have been wearing this around the house, to the mall, ect. i have received many complements on my shadow, and i am proud to say this blends SUPER well!! Really pigmented!

I just got this in the mail, I was super excited to play with the colors, but the pallet looks NOTHING like it does in the photos. The photos look bright and pink-ish pretty but the actual pallet is like a bunch of dull orange colors that all look similar, some yellow-ish too :( not my fave.

The picture indicates some pinks and a purple or two. But there are maybe two in my palette that fall under the pink category, and no purples. In fact, outside of 3 greens and two blues, everything is gold/brown/smoky. Everything. I am disappointed that the variety of shades does not match the photo. Shades are so close to each other that I feel like I have maybe 24 colors, instead of 48.

I have generally been happy with other eye palettes from elf but I found this one to be a huge fail. I found that although some of the shades are pigmented they do not blend well on the eye and are often patchy with a bunch of fallout. Also while you do get 48 shades, there is so little product in each pan that to me it isn't worth it. Overall I'm not impressed with this product and would not recommend this.

The eyeshadow was not as pigmented as I'd thought it would be. They are way too chalky for me. I don't like the fact that they lack matte shades and have more shimmers. I wanted and expected more from this pallet and sadly it did not meet up with my expectations. Lastly, the pallet does not shut if you try to close it, it will open right back up. Not impressed with the packaging at all.
