Zantac is recalled. Pepcid is one of the few substitutes you can choose. Since zantac is recalled, there's national shortage on pepcid. I get it as a prescription, famotidine. Randitidine which is the generic of zantac worked better, but famotidine still works on me. It may or may not work on you. Please get the smallest count bottle to try out first.

I have taken Zantac for years and nothing else has worked or even came close! Well now that Zantac has been linked to cancer causing chemicals,it is being taken off shelves everywhere!!! At first I was very upset because it is the only thing that has worked for me and I no longer have access to it..but i needed something today and i tried Pepcid ac...I’m so glad I did because it worked!! I am very pleased and would def. Recommend Pepcid ac.

I have GERD and ran out of my normal heartburn medication so my boyfriend actually bought pepcid ac and yes it works really good but now I am taking 3 of them just until I get back in my regular medication. But this is a great product highly recommend.
