I had the same issue as many other people in here. The collar strap loop broke off the collar. I called customer service and was told this isn't really a manufacturer defect but they would replace it this one time. I'm happy they did so but if this is a continuous problem and covered as I see was the response, why just one time? Crossing my fingers it doesn't happen again. This has kept my dog contained but at this price I can't afford to keep replacing them if it continues to happen.

This is our 3rd one in 2 years. The plastic slots that attach it to the collar break first then it just lost power. I expected better quality for what you pay.

When we got our puppy it was clear we needed something to keep him home. After searching and checking reviews we settled on the Yardmax. I bought a kit with upgraded wire. My first install was burried around our half acre. Up around the raised flower beds, under the driveway and gave our boy access to all the grass we had. Training was quick and easy. After training he heeded the beeps for a few weeks then got his first shock on the lowest setting. After that he wouldn't go near the flags. He learned the limits and would set in the corner of the lot waiting for our daughter to come home from school. When we moved I pulled up the wire and reused it, but Tried the ground staples instead. So far there has not been any issues with the surface install. Now the bad parts. The plastics used in the collar is inadequate. It has broken in multiple places. Generally a little super glue has worked, but it is getting to the point where I have to glue it every couple weeks. Still a good product, but needs a stronger case.
