4M KidzLabs Solar System Planetarium

I received this product for review purposes and my kids absolutely loved it. My son loved painting the pieces and putting it together. Very easy to assemble and great quality. Very good set for kids. I'd recommend to anyone looking for this type of product.

I received the Solar System Planetarium for an unbiased review. This states 8 years plus, but I put it together with my 5 year old. This set includes planets, squeeze glow paint pen, rods, etc. The planets come separated in two round pieces and attached to a plastic piece with other planets. To remove the planet to paint you simply twist it off the plastic, remove it, and we sat them round side pointing up so they could sit flat. The paint comes in 5 colors, all connected in a small plastic piece. The containers are small, maybe the size of a penny's or dime's width. And about the same size tall. They are small, but there is plenty of paint to be able to paint each planet. The paint brush is small as well, similar to one that comes in a child's coloring/water painting book. There is a small directions booklet, but it wasn't much help. We used the front of the box to figure out what the planets were supposed to look like. The instructions were in black and white! This was my major complaint. It made it really hard to know what colors went with what planet. Also it was a little difficult to figure out which planet was which. Some of the planets are similar sizes, so I would use the directions to look at the specific details on the planets, but it was still a tad difficult. The paint didn't seem like the best quality, so if you want this to look really nice I would use other paint. If the directions were colored it would have made it so much easier and faster! This is a neat set though and we enjoyed painting and putting it together. It was neat to have a visual to teach my little man about our solar system.

The kids all loved doing this solar system planetarium. This was fun and easy for all the kids with the exception of snapping the planets together. This will take an adult to help. The instructions were very clear and everything fit together like it was supposed to. I think the painting was the best part for the kids. I loved that they learned about the planets and where they are placed in the Solar System. They still look at it every day and ask questions so it's a fun thing to do with your kids and something that teaches your kids about space for days.

My daughter is into everything space and science right now. I gave this to her for Christmas and she is so excited... we have not constructed it yet, but you build the entire things from scratch. It even includes paint for the planets. For a child who loves science and art, this is a perfect gift.

This solar system planetarium is a great educational activity. My son is very interested in learning about the solar system so I thought this was perfect for him. He had so much fun putting it together and painting it. The instructions were very easy to follow. I only had ti help him a little bit with the assembly. The plant peices snapped together and we were able to put it together pretty quickly. The set comes with a paint brush and set of paints. My sun had so much fun painting the planets. I love that it not only had a lot of fun with this kit but it was also educational and he learned more about the solar system. It's a great size and the planets can move around. My son loves it so much.
