Gap Home New Blue 16-Piece Blue & White Decal Fine China Dinnerware Set

I had high hopes for these Gap Home dishes. But, after washing them a handful of times in the dishwasher, several bowls and plates have started to chip (on the blue lines). I'm very careful with my dishes and I'm the only one who uses these. Pretty disappointed because the chips are very obvious because they are on the blue stripes (see attached photos). Also, several dishes have already chipped. I would let 1 slide, but, there have been 4 so far. On another note, the pictures online are not accurate. It seems you get a mix of polka dots/grids/stripes for both bowls and plates. But, the only dishes with these different patterns are the smaller salad plates (the bowls are not all different and neither are the dinner plates). Pretty disappointed with these as I was expecting much better quality from a Gap product and the pictures online are misleading on what you actually get. I am glad I kept my old dishes because I'm not sure how long these will last.

Disappointed. My dinner plates are all the same pattern. Bowls are all the same pattern. Salad plates, 3 of 4 shown pattern. Dinner bowls match dinner plates, so same pattern. One of my bowls is chipped.

I ordered 2 sets and the cereal bowls were all the same pattern instead of all being different. So the only piece in the set that had polka dots was one salad plate. It though surely it was just a one time mistake so I ordered 3 more sets. They were all the same. So they were all returned. I was very disappointed because they actually are nice dishes.

I have wanted a new set of dishes for awhile. I did not want plastic but every glass set I've found is so heavy. I finally broke down and just got this set. I was worried because the box is quite heavy but I needed new dishes. I was very pleasantly surprised when I started pulling everything out and it is actually quite light! Heavier and better feeling then plastic but not cumbersome like some glass plates and bowls. The design is cute and I'm happy to have matching dishes again.

Actually this is one of the best sets of dishes I have ever owned! First I love blue. But the quality is amazing! Lightweight and dishwasher and microwave safe is a triple threat! And I am the dishwasher right now. Nice size bowls and soup plates..You can't go wrong with this set. And it looks amazing on the table Highly recommend it!!
