Bought a set of these today for my 93 Chevy Lumina. The wiper fit OK on the driver side, but the mounting bracket is different on the other side of the wiper. It would NOT fit on the passenger side. Then, when I turned the wipers on, the new wiper makes an annoying clicking sound every time it cycles. These are going back to the store today!
It had one job. It failed, leaving me in a dangerous situation. I purchased these a few months ago. Only driven in a handful of rainstorms. Yesterday, in a driving rainstorm on a limited access turnpike, the squeegee constantly slid out of the railing and flapped against the windshield. I was forced to pull onto a narrow shoulder every few miles to pull the squeegee back into place, with cars and trucks flying by me a couple of feet away. I've had plenty of mediocre wipers and many have worn out after a reasonable amount of time. These were relatively new and everything about them is fine - nothing is broken. It appears to be a design flaw - the small plastic nub at the end of the blade isn't sufficient to hold the squeegee in.
Garbage. Have been using these on my Jeep for 4 years. Recently purchased a pair and one would not snap in as it should. Comes off if wiper is constantly running - intermittent stays on. Anyhow, tried to contact customer service numerous times and never received call back. Lost a customer.
They worked incredibly poorly until I saw something starting to protrude off the ends of the blades and found they had plastic covers over them that were supposed to be removed before use. Once I pulled them off the blades worked great. The universal mounting system does look big, blocky and rather unaesthetic in general. Next time I'll likely try Bosch blades. Also, I ordered the two blades on-line and each was shipped in an a huge box with tons of shipping paper. Alone the packing material filled up my big trashcan. A waste and annoyance.
I purchased the Rain-X and the Bosch Icons at the same time. one set for my car, and one set for my wife's van. The Rain-X on my car worked great when new, but started streaking after only a couple months. Now, 4 months later, they don't clear the rain off at all. My wife's Bosch Icons still are working great! I replaced them with a set of Bosch Icons on my car. Rain-X, not worth the premium price!
