No problems or complaints. Easily ordered online for “pickup” at local store. No wait time ! Let them know I was there and the assistant brought it right out and I was “back on the road “ !
I find that Walmart brand batteries have declined in the years I have used them, I use to buy them for their longevity but now I frequently do not get that. I am lucky to get 3 years out of each battery. I have recently bought an AGM battery from walmart with 4 year warranty and I am interested to see if quality on those designs has improve service quality.
The product is fine. But I had to order it online because of the excessive wait time in automotive dept. This first a battery we bought based off Wal-Mart AP was the wrong battery when we returned it the time to just get an associate back to the department was almost 50 minutes. The employees that helped us were great but it took almost an hour to get a human back there.
Battery price is good and historically this brand's quality is good. The problem is the online core charge. When you purchase a battery there is a separate “core charge” ($12 in this case) that's refunded when you trade in your old battery. Because I selected curbside pickup, my local store “cannot” refund the core charge. I had to call Walmart.com and request the refund. It's been several days and I still have not received my core charge refund. This essentially adds an additional $12 to the battery cost. I've come to expect better service from Walmart.
Battery was good. Ordered online at the Islandia location. Pickup went well. Problem occurred when I returned old battery. Both customer service and Auto motive department said they were not able to refund my $5 core return fee. They tried scanning my receipt but for whatever reason they could not achieve the return. I had to leave the old battery without the refund as a manager was unavailable. I have tried to call the store many times, but their phone just keeps ringing, and no one ever answers. Guess Walmart really needs my five bucks. I wonder how many people they pull this on per year?
