[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the most quality puller I have used. The puller 'yoke' is made of a very solid material, with plenty of mass to resist deflection. The ratcheting feature is a game changer! It makes setup and adjustments quick and simple.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The ratcheting mechanism of these jaw pullers is a total game changer for me as it makes it so much easier to get it started without constantly falling off. Along with that, getting to have both inside and outside jaws that you can quickly flip back and forth on is a real space saver for an occasional use tool. Everything is super well constructed and will clearly last a life time. The case holds everything in a tight space (but I wish the lid was removable) but easily accessible.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like these pullers. I like the organization of the case that it comes with. The arms locking into different positions is a very nice addition. It's nice not to have to try and hold the arms with them flopping all over. I'm not sure how the mechanism would hold up with something really stubborn that takes a lot of torque. Overall this is a great product.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Absolutely love the idea that I don't have to fight with the jaws to keep them on whatever I'm pulling! The jaws just stay where you put them. Great quality product! Would recommend this tool to anyone!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Positive impressions began with opening the sturdy and well-organized molded case. It was obvious that high strength materials were used to fashion the narrow feet of the puller legs. They fit closer to flange irregularities and help one avoid notches and sensors on sheaves, keyways on gears, etc. The yokes have four arms, making set-up with two or three jaws quick. An innovative "hinge-like" jaw retainer receives trunions on the jaws and obviates the need to bolt and un-bolt the jaws. At those 'hinge points' a tab engages reeding on the crown of the jaws. Like a pawl, that engagement holds the jaws at the initial set up angle - making mounting the puller much less cumbersome than is the case when the jaws are free-swinging. This feature also can suffice in lieu of placing a hoop about the jaws to retain engagement. (However, if the "pull" does not proceed smoothly, I'd recommend using a 'safety hoop' anyway so that puller does not "disassemble" when the job lurches free.) The screws have conical ends and bearing tips. Those and the fine pitch thread allowed gradual application of force while maintaining their original alignment. The black oxide finish resisted tool marring and seemed to reduce drag. My first task with this set was to pull some well-weathered sheaves off a neglected lawn care chipper. This set made that job a snap.
