Hoover Windtunnel Self Propelled Vacuum

Oh, after reading all the reviews on this vacuum, I thought for the price it certainly woule be a good investment--it was--for 6 months. First, the floor roller fell off after using for 2 weeks. Then, it began overheating, so I would turn it off and would wait for it to cool off. The extension tool was too short and I can't tell you the number of times it tipped over often on my feet. Next, the lights went out--all of them. The belt broke, the self-propel no longer works (my biggest purchase reason) and even when it did, was still pretty heavy to push and very heavy to lift. Now, it no longer has suction. How long have I had it, you ask? All of 7 months! Trust me I am not a vacuum-holic, but this was a waste of money for me. I plan to invest in a bagless and take my chances--in the long run, it would be more cost effective. Too bad, because I always used Hoovers. I can't return it, obviously, and to ship it back for repair would almost equal the price I paid for it. I wish it did work, but it didn't. Very disappointed.

This is the second one I ordered, first one had broken cover on front, but worked well. I loved everything else about it. This one (same model) doen't suction properly. Will not pick up crumbs on a hard surface floor. I am taking back and giving up on this model!

Used it for the first time today. WOW. I vacuumed one large area rug and the container was 2/3 full of pet hair and dirt! This really, really works. I really love the red light/green light feature to let me know when the area I'm vacuuming is clean. After one use my house actually smells cleaner! I'm embarassed at how much dirt and pet hair was laying about the house.

I have had this vacuum for approx. a month now and it is wonderful. My cats like to use an empty toilet paper roll as their toy. To demonstrate the suction power of this product, while i was trying to push this toy around and get it out my way.. I had to literally pick the toy up and throw it across the room because the vacuum wouldnt let go of it (not getting stuck in the rollers). My carpet looks like new again. I love the red/green sensor telling me the area is clean. It took me an hour to vacuum the living room floor the first time i used the product. I didnt realize my carpet was that dirty.

I had this same vacuum, in the older model for 6 1/2 years before it gave out on me. I loved it so much that I purposely looked for the exact same vacuum cleaner. I was so happy when I found the updated version at Walmart.com! I have been using the new vacuum for a couple of weeks now and it is wonderful!
