Our son received this toy as a gift when he was about 8 months old. Almost a year later and he still loves it! He is now able to follow the prompts and actually 'use' rather than just mash on all the buttons. It's definitely stood up to the hands of a toddler. We were given a Smart Stages Laptop as part of a Vocalpoint RSVP Ultimate Playdate. It is a great first "computer" for little ones. My son carries it around with the convenient handle, and it is not too heavy for him. He also loves the bright colors, music, lights, and sweet voice. He likes to take it in the car or play with it around the house. He sees us use our computers, laptops and ipads, and loves that he finally has one of his own. The only problem is, now my older daughter wants her own computer too. :) My favorite aspect of it are the different settings that he can try out as he grows. I also like that it isn't too loud.
