needed to power an RV while tailgaiting. 2 TV's, cable box, fan's, water pump, etc. Everything but the AC's. Originally bought one of the real cheap ones and the pull handle locked up and wouldn't start. Got it started once and it was extremely loud. started researching and found that the Honda and Yamaha were the two that everyone says are the best but didn't want to spend 1,200 bucks for 7-8 weekends a year. saw this originally at costco but like walmart's shipping and service better. ordering was super simple, shipping was quick. overnight for 15 bucks! item came next day. added gas and oil and it started on second pull. used it at a tailgate yesterday and it was perfect. ran for 5 hours on economy mode without issue. power was plenty. people kept asking how everything was running without a generator. it was really quiet in that mode. it never spiked to normal mode. it's not a honda or yamaha but so far so good. hoping the long term results are as good as the short term. it is a little heavy but an adult male could handle no problem. make sure you fill it with gas each time before starting. recomended for sure!

I was looking for a generator to use during tailgate parties and really wanted a Honda. Anyone that has done any research knows that they are supposed to be the best, but they cost close to $1200 for one with about the same power. I started to do some research on generators and found this one at few places for around $500. I read reviews and was concerned by many of the reviews at different sites. I then read reviews from Walmart.com and that eased my mind a bit. I went ahead and bought the Honeywell and was very pleased when it arrived in only a few days! Anyone who buys this thinking that it will be as quite as a Honda is going to be dissappointed. Anyone that buys this in hopes of a generator that is pretty quite and doesn't want to spend $1200 dollars will be thrilled. I have only used this for two tailgates and I couldn't be happier so far. It is kind of heavy when full of gas but is still easy enough to move for a adult male. I followed the directions and added oil and gas, turned the fuel, choke, and engine to the on position and it has started on the first or second time everytime. So far all I have run on it is two TV's and a satellite box. It can run all that on effeciency mode which is really quite. We will see how it does when I hook up a crock pot or two. Both tailgates I have used this at we have run it for close to 12 hours straight and it took about a tank and a half each time. If this generator keeps running like it has I will be very impressed. There are at least 5 or 6 other generators right around us and the only one that is more quite is a honda...and I bet they pay double of what I did. If you are looking for a nice generator for a good price I would strongly suggest this.

I recently used this on an extended summer camping trip with a large group and ran the unit for 14 to 20 hours everyday alongside the similar Honda product. I was pleased at the performance and value of the Honeywell although the Honda is smaller and quieter. I had hoped that this unit would have the 12 volt connection like the Honda for charging car/boat batteries. Unfortunately not included. Quick starting and very capable of a demanding load. Expect to use this one for years.

I READ THE DIRECTIONS FRONT TO BACK. This is very important. It does seem to start easier with a full tank of gas. I took it out of the box after reading the directions and filled it with fuel and oil. It started on 3rd pull. I have not had a starting issue as of yet. I have ran about 6 tanks of gas in it and works well for anything that I need it to do.
