I have white towels with a navy blue stripe and our water has discolored them over time. After washing them once, I couldn't believe how much whiter they are simply by adding this Oxi Clean whitener.
I actually use this in my dishwasher to clean it out. This smells very mild, doesn't smell like bleach. It actually smells fresh and clean, no chlorine was detected. I have not used this on my colored clothing. This seems to sanitize my clothes, blankets, towels and sheets.
I like the powder form of hydrogen peroxide, with the washing soda. Washing soda softens hard water, and the hydrogen peroxide powder disinfects, deoderizes, and bleaches, and can be safely used on colors. I would still test for color fastness however, because some clothing manufacturers' dyes are not colorfast. All in all, this is a great stain remover, and if you need a little more oomph, add a LITTLE, a tiny amount of Dawn ultra, or Dawn Platinum in as hot a temperature water as the clothing says on the label. Let it soak. If something is dingy, I would let it soak overnight. Same for very tough stains or stains that have been there for a while. NEVER dry an item in the dryer with a stain still on it. It sets the stain and makes it very, very hard to remove.
I've been using OxiClean White Revive for a few months now, and it's become a staple in my laundry routine. Unlike regular bleach, this product brightens whites without damaging fabrics or causing that strong chemical smell. I especially appreciate how it lifts tough stains—like coffee, sweat, and even older yellowing—from white clothes and linens. One of the biggest pros is that it works well in both hot and cold water, and I've seen noticeable results even on low-effort washes. It's also color-safe, so I've had success using it on light-colored clothes without fading. The only downside is that it works best when you soak items before washing, which adds a bit of time to the process. But the payoff in brightness is worth the extra step. If you're looking for a bleach alternative that revives dingy whites, OxiClean White Revive delivers.
This is the best stain remover ever! So versatile! Apart from using it on my whites in the laundry, I mix it up with hot water and put it in a spray bottle (pre-mix it so it does not clog the nozzle) and use it on my carpet to clean up stubborn spills and on other fabric items
