V.Smile TV Learning System Gaming Console

I just bought the v-smile for my 6 year olds birthday and already we are having problems with it. It was a replacement for the one she already had. The problem with it is when the game cartridge is inserted, it might not come on. you have to take it out and put it back in carefully. this is a chore when your children want to play a different game every 10 minutes. I am disapointed because for a childs game system you would think it would be a little more durable.

I bought this for my daughter at 1 year old. She got the hang of it after a short while. I like the fact that you can choose the age of games to give them. Its great for early learning, she is now 4 years old and still plays with it. It helped her advance a lot, she can play the 5-7 yrs on the game now.

I actually purchased mine from Toys R Us which was my first mistake. It never worked from the beginning. I tried it on 3 different TV's. I called Toys R Us before going back because it is about an hour from where I live and I was told by an associate and the manager that I could not return the console because it had been opened. I said how do you know if something works if you do not open it. They said sorry but that is our policy. If you absolutely have to try this product please get it from Walmart because they will take it back if it doesn't work. DO NOT BUY AT TOYS R US!

My mother bought my three sons a v-smile console for Christmas last year and as Grandmas do, went overboard buying every single game she could find. She also purchased extra controllers. This toy began powering itself off after the second or third use and never came back on. Exchanged it for a new one that did the same thing. Exchanged THAT for a v-smile pocket hoping for better luck and THAT did the same thing after about 5 uses! It also would not release the cartridges! Wrote to v-tech and was continually insulted and patronized by their associates, never been so upset with any company in my life! I have done research into this and found many other parents say the same! Look this up, you will find it! V-tech told me to keep the games and the unit cleaner, now I ask how dirty it could be after a couple of uses? Complete waste of a lot of Grandma's money and three heartbroken kids! I do not recommend!

I bought this system for my 4 year old daughter for Christmas. It didn't come with the power cord so we had batteries in it. It worked fine but she only played with it 3 times and the batteries went dead. We went back to Walmart and got the power cord. When we got home and plugged it in, the system would not turn on. Now it won't work with batteries or the cord. I didn't keep the box or the receipt and my daughter cries everytime I tell her it's broken. V.SMILE ruined her Christmas. DO NOT BUY THIS SYSTEM!!! WARNING.
