Sony a NEX 3NL - Digital camera - mirrorless - 16.1 MP - APS-C - 3x optical zoom 16-50mm lens - black

This is a great little camera sold in a nice bundle for a good price. I usually work with far more costly cameras, and I'm surprised at how well this one compares. Unfortunately, on my first outdoor test with it, I noticed a smudgy dot in the lower left corner of the LCD screen. Took it to a pro camera shop and they diagnosed it immediately: Defective sensor. So it had to go back. I don't hold this against either Walmart or Sony. These things can happen. And I do plan to stick with the NEX because it's such a nifty little cam for just carrying around in your jacket pocket. Can't do that with a big DSLR!

I made many comparisons on the internet, including side by side photo comparisons. This camera seems to have a very good image quality, better than many more expansive DSLRs. I have been using it for few weeks now, it is easy to use, not as heavy and bulky as regular DSLRs. Image and video quality are much better than point and shoot cameras. It is a very good choice for entry to the DSLR world.

We were looking for a camera that would allow some opportunity to play with the lenses while still being able to take good quality pictures quickly. This camera fits the bill. Ease of use is good and picture quality is excellent! We have been trying to replace one of the original sony digital cameras and have had a hard time.

After using a few digital cameras over the years, I always wanted a higher level quality camera with a good interchangeable lens. This Sony Camera is it !!! Within most people's budgets it brings the photo power and technology together into an easy to use unit and still has the detailed settings that some folks want or need. I would describe it as the marriage of a Great Lens and a super digital camera. I can't say enough about the Zoom lens feature compared to most compact digital cams. Had it now for 2 weeks and taking the best photos I have ever taken. The case/bag + 8 gig card was a nice bonus.

Camera is very user friendly and as close you can get to a dslr without having to actually lug around a dslr. Would highly recommend. On a ridiculous note, it was over $100 cheaper to order it site to store and pick it up than to just walk in the store and buy it.
