AeroGarden Salad Greens Seed Pod Kit, 7 Pods

This is my first time as a farmer growing plants for myself. I have four Aerogarden Farm 12XL's and a Bounty Elite. Due to CA wildfires and poor air quality in Fresno, CA, I enclosed my 12XL's with plastic wrap on the back and sides with HEPA rated air filters on makeshift doors with small Vornado fans inside each garden drawing in cleaner air to my farms. If you follow the quick plant menu, the Aerogarden will set the pump settings correctly, add nutrients as directed the Salad Greens was ready for harvest on Day 14 to my surprise! The salad greens taste GREAT! Kudos to your Aerogarden Team for delivering home based farming for us green horn farmers!!! I tried Burpee's Dynamite Lettuce seeds (several) with the grow anything pods and the harvested Lettuce looks and tastes incredible. If I had to do this over again, I would get six Aerogarden Harvest Elite Slim's (6 plants each) on sale and grow three of them with lettuce in them, rotating three Slim's every thirty days in case I need to start new pods, for year round daily harvested chef size salads for one person. Actually, you will have lettuce growing like a jungle you won't know what to do with it. I would use the 12XL's for ready to eat Golden Harvest Cherry Tomatoes on Day 84 and Bell/Anaheim/Jalapeño Peppers on Day 115. I hope this information is helpful.

Hands down, the lettuce is my favorite thing to grow. Garden fresh lettuce all year round. I usually start my herbs and flowers after the holidays. From August until January, it's fresh lettuce. I will not buy lettuce from the store if I can help it.

The salad grows quickly and is good. It brings joy to see it grow. Love the bright LED light. The downside is cleaning the gross tremendous amount of green algae in the basin surrounding the roots. Deep disinfectant cleaning is required frequently - every two weeks or, ideally, more often. Hope this condition is healthy. (?)

This is my second batch of the salad greens. My first lastest several months and produced a lot of good lettuce. My husband was amazed at how quickly and easily they grew!

I love my Aero garden. I have two veggie patches in my kitchen. Right now I'm enjoying plucking tomatoes off the vines and cooking with my herbs. I introduced a friend to Aero and she too is plucking tomatoes off her plant. It is so nice to always have fresh Basil, Thyme, Dill, other herbs handy when cooking or making a salad. You can beat the aroma of fresh herbs in the kitchen. I am able to grow lettuce in my kitchen window which completes my salad. My Aero garden has also replaced my garden in California and now gardening in a small apartment in New York City. Lee
