Afrin® No-Drip Severe Congestion, 0.5 fl. oz.

I was so excited when this came. it only took 2 sprays in each nostrils, and it did not drip down my throat and leave me with that nasty taste like in the past!! HOORAY!!! HONESTLY, I did stop using this because of the drip, but because of the no drip formula, I may think of keeping it on hand again. it did work for 12 hours. the con was, it also dried out my nasel passage. so this is not something I could use everyday, possibly the original may not. but overall, loved the new formula.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Afrin Voxbox from Influenster. I'm a person with bad sinuses and horrible allergies, so I am no stranger to decongestants! I have used Afrin sprays in the past, but this was my first time using the one with menthol. If you're not a fan of menthol, use the original version. I do like menthol, so I did enjoy this! I will say, Afrin will significantly help severe nasal congestion, much better than any oral medication will. However, as a nurse, I feel like I need to point out something . This product is not for long, continued use. If you use this product too much you can get rebound congestion. Use this as directed! I also recommend only using this when you are extremely congested, not just whenever you have a runny nose. I save my Afrin sprays for the times I'm so extremely congested that I can barely breathe through my nose and I feel swollen and miserable. I will only use it two days in a row. You can use this while taking oral medications. When I use it, it does seem to last 10-12 hours and starts working almost immediately! This what I reach for when I absolutely need relief right away. As far as the “no drip” claim, that's mostly correct. It is a very fine spray, but it did drip a little. It's really not that bad though. I do prefer the spray pump over the original bottle. Overall, do like this product and recommend it.

It lasted for about 10 hours for me which definitely exceeded my expectations. I definitely recommend this product!

I've been using it for years and no there is no “addiction” to afrin. There is the possibility of rebound stuffiness if used too often. Nothing in this is an addictive substance. But it can lose its effectiveness over time if abused
