Nice smooth surface.
It does help with alergiea and it's helpful, keeps your actual pillow in better condition.

Not too crunchy
I like to keep all my pillows clean and covered all the time, as they last much longer and get nothing on pillow! These work fine for that. I don't know about dust mites, allergies or bed bugs, as I only bought for keeping pillows fresh and clean to last a lot longer. Piece of mind for cleanliness. These are soft and cool. No crunching or noises that would hinder sleep. Would definitely recommend!
