Yikes!!! Why so salty? I opened the can and tasted his product and the very first thing I noticed was the VERY strong salt in the flavor. I have been drying and preserving food for many years and I know you do not need that much salt. Okay, on to the review: I think this is a good product (with the above exception). The chicken flavor is good. I like the fact that it is basically dried, ground tofu. I was looking for an alternative to grain based tvp so this fits that bill nicely. The moisture absorption is almost immediate so that is a good thing too. It works well in sauces, omelets, casseroles, soups/stews; all the regular dishes. Lighten up on the salt a little and you have a great product here. Thanks AU //(~_~)\\

It was good for imitation meat. It isn't just like real meat, but is still good.

If you ever open it it want last long. These products are far the best I have ever eaten. We use them a lot of the times for our everyday meals. They are so easy to fix and my wife and I are retired just love fixing and eating these rather than eating out. They are better for you and a whole lot taster than eating out. We just love them. This is a great product for preppers or for those who like to keep extra food on hand for emergencies or for your year supply of food. Sometimes when getting your supplies in order, you want to have 'meats'. What to do if refrigeration is not be available? You can have this on hand. This product take what could be a bland, blah and tasteless ordeal and turns it into a "gourmet" meal. It's the little "homey" touches that could turn a horrible catastrophe into a tolerable experience. I know that I will be making many more purchases of these items in the future, if there is one...
