This is a great product. Easy to use and it taste delicious. I found many different ways to use this product in different recipes and I will definitely buy this product again!!

I bought this as the price was just too good to pass up. I added it to my long term food storage. Although it is imitation/soy protein, I figure it would be good enough for tacos; certainly no worse than Taco Bell. Augason Farms makes pretty good long term foods, and the price was better than any other retailer had this priced at.

If you're a vegetarian and like eating meat this is a very good product. Just boil it in water for 2 minutes. It looks and tastes like taco meat.

There are only my hubby and me in my household. On the can, there's a space to write in the date you opened it. We opened it on August 8th, 2016. Today's the 13th, and it's more than half gone. It's supposed to last one year after opening. (Yeah, good luck with that around here - if it lasts a whole month, I'll be floored.) Recommended it to my way-pickier-than-me sister, who loved it. Now she wants to order, too. We use it in tacos and burgers, and I'm making meatballs today. I am a writer with the first book (appetizers) out in a series of cookbooks geared to one or two out on Amazon; because of this product, I am now developing a TVP cookbook for one or two! DH LOVES his job as my research assistant and official taste tester. We can't get enough of this. Only ordered one can to try, and we need to order by the truckload!! DH is ordering plain beef and plain chicken on Monday, we're so excited about this product. We're not big eaters -- 1/2 cup total dry fills us both up. We just eat it so often. I even make breakfast patties for DH's breakfast sandwiches in the mornings. We eat a lot of cheeseburgers made from this, cos although it's taco flavoured, the seasoning is mild. I melt the cheese on the patties, and it's Happy Chow Time. I have an upcoming writer's conference in a few weeks. I am taking plenty of this along - it is the ideal travel food, since it mixes with water at its most basic. It's filling, tasty, nourishing, inexpensive, and makes practically no mess (cleanup is swishing out the mug I mix up one or two servings in). Lightweight, it travels beautifully, is convenient, and you can make only as much as you need - NO leftovers to sneakily morph into alien freaks of nature somewhere in the black hole of the fridge! It just doesn't get any better than that. I may never eat ground beef ever again.
