This was the first bottle my baby took - at just a few days old - and she had no problem accepting it from the very first time we tried. The newborn flow rate was perfect for her then, and we have stuck with the size 1 nipple even as she is now nearly 6 months old. It's great to have the other options in flow rate, but newborn still seems to work for her, and we're sticking with it! She has been able to switch back and forth between bottle and breast without issue, and the bottles seemed to do a great job minimizing gas or colic as we've not dealt with either.
