This product is awesome. If you have a sick and congested baby you know how much they hate traditional bulb syringes. My 6 week old somehow mastered her hand eye coordination well enough to swat away her old fashioned nasal aspirator-not to mention screaming bloody murder every time I came near her nose with it. I purchased this product when she got a severe upper respitatory infection and was hospitalized. It was a lifesaver. Although she certainly wasn't wild about it she didn't fuss nearly as much as when I aspirated her nose and mouth the old fashioned way. The motor on the Nasalclear seemed to mesmerize her and she seemed to kind of like it when I used the longer attachment to aspirate her mouth. And not having to continually removed the tip and squeeze the bulb then shove it back in made it alot easier on her nose and the constant suction kept her from sucking the mucous back in like she often would with a traditional bulb. The only problem is that it doesn't seem to have an overflow mechanism so you have to be careful to watch the collection cup and keep it emptied or it will suck fluid back into the motor. For the price its an awesome product. My daughter was so much more comfortable when her nose and mouth were clear and there's very little you can do for a sick infant so this was great.

I bought this for my 5 month old son but, my 2 year old uses it more. I can't complain about that. Getting him to blow his nose is a hit and miss. (Of course I am standing right over him when he uses it.) Clean up is easy if you have a pipe cleaner on hand. Soaking it helps too. For those little boogers that do not go into the collection cup.

I love this product it has made my daughter feel much better when she's sick. And it really cuts down on wiping her nose and causing her more discomfort. I can't believe how much is sucks out, so much better than the manual one. And very easy to clean out but still just as gross!

Bottom line...it gets the junk out. You should def. use some saline drops before to really loosen everything up. The music is a plus to keep them occupied until they get over the music thing and just scream!! This is my second one, they tend to fall apart easily. I lost the plastic ring on my first one where the collection cup screws on. I used to take it all apart. Dont do this!! or u might lose yours too. My second one...worked good..but after a while it just isn't as strong like the beginning...even with new batteries. Overall, i would recommend this only because it def. cleans their noses way more than using the plastic bulbs!!

The suction isn't as great as it is w/ the hospital grade manual aspirator, however you don't have to constantly pull it out of the squirming and upset childs nose to resuck so it's a good tradeoff. The music totally distracts my child so I am able to get more done then with a traditional aspirator, but aspiration time is still a not so fun time for mommy or baby. I'd recommend it, it IS better then the manual version.
