I heard so many bad reviews and decided to try for myself, I'm 28 weeks and have heard many sounds, the baby kicking, hiccups, and even the heartbeat, it does take a lot of time to find it but for me it's worth it, for only 20 dollars, just sit in a quiet room(no tv or air on) and it should work after awhile of searching, all in all I say try it.

Well I rushed out and got this when I was about 21 weeks and couldn't even hear my own heartbeat. I knew the directions said 25 weeks, but I was so excited to hear her in my belly. I am now 32 weeks and still have yet to hear anything but my own heartbeat (when placed on my chest) and my stomach growling every once in a while. Even when she kicks right where I have the monitor, I don't hear anything. I was so thrilled to get this but it's caused nothing but frustration and disappointment.

As someone else said...be patient. You are supposed to be in a comp..quiet room.. It also tells in the book what sounds are what. you will hear your tummy rummble...it's a given. I am going to buy this product today. I have previously owned 2 of these units. They work great however the manufacturer cant tell you when in you pergnancy that it will work..every womans body is different i could hear certain sounds in first trimester. I am only having to replace this product as mine went through me twice and like 3-4 times with my sister in laws. not only can you hear heart beats but you can actually hear the blood and food passing through the umbelical cord. that particular sound is like an ocean...

I do not recommend this, the product itself says not to use this until the 3rd trimester. So if your lucky you get 3 months use. It also does not sound like the doctors, its more like barely hearing anything, if you can hear anything at all. It would pick up every noise in the room (or outside) almost better than baby. It would also make noise with slight movement on the belly. The price is too much for the use that is available and the times that it works. I wish I would have boughten a stethiscope instead, probably would've worked better!

i adore this product. i heard many negative things about it but im PRETTY sure that if you read the directions AND the advice and dont give up after 20 minutes you'll be satisfied as well. i bought this product yesterday, i'm 21 weeks pregnant, and at first all i could make out were kicks, but after a little while of poking around and trying different spots i listened to my unborn son's heartbeat for probably a half hour and it almost put me to sleep. a lot of people keep saying all they can hear is their stomach gurgling but i heard none of that unless i held it to my stomach. holding it to your uterus is a completely different story. read the manual and follow what it says and you'll be satisfied.
