Bob's Red Mill TVP® Textured Vegetable Protein -- 12 oz Resealable Pouch

I bought this, but then realized it's not made from organic soybeans. It's not worth eating.

An essential vegan/vegetarian pantry staple. Tacos, veggie burgers, and chili are staples in my house. In addition to loving the ever so versatile TVP, I also use it to make my 3 dogs' food (in my Instant Pot, using Compassion Circle supplements and recipes), so I go through A LOT. I really appreciate the bulk option. Even with the hefty shipping charge, it's more affordable than anywhere else, where I'm buying 3 packages at a time every month or so.

Stores dry for a long time and is incredibly easy to use. A real no-brainer to have this handy in the kitchen. Upon first trying this product, it became and instant replacement for ground beef in sauces, chili and tacos. I did a little diy experimenting and managed to do an awesome “meatloaf” that I keep going back to! I haven't yet achieved a total vegetarian diet, but products like this have slowly moved me in that direction. Ground beef can be unpleasant to work with for so many reasons. BRM's TVP really eliminates so much of that hassle, and I really get a good feeling out of using it. It's best when the texture includes slightly bigger granules. I think I've noticed an improvement in quality over the last while, so even better!

Fantastic made a 1/2 batch to try it out with a capful of kitchen bouquet and a teaspoon of cornstarch to make 2 qty 1/4 lb. Burgers dressed as I liked one with cheese other with out and I could not tell the difference between them and the beef burgers I had over a year ago I WILL BUY MORE OF THIS..

We love all Bob's Red Mill products. We went to Oregon a few years ago and had Bob's on our itinerary. We arrived and it was the only day they were closed for maintenance! TVP is a main staple for us. We love it in spaghetti sauce, soup and even have recipe for tvp “meatloaf “ which is superb. We were afraid we would not be able to find it during pandemic and so ordered 8 bags. The order came in a timely fashion. Very happy with the purchase.
